While the most sustainable house truly is the house that already exists, EHS can provide you with a beautiful design for a brand new home that still results in an environmentally conscious building. Sustainable new builds are often a result of a well-rounded design team, and we’d love the opportunity to help you pair up with all the right collaborators. We can coordinate inclusion of a savvy MEP design, work to minimize unnecessary framing elements, and select local vendors and suppliers - all while having an energy consultant keep us on the right track.

Do you still want your commercial space to feel positive, successful and powerful - but not sure how to accomplish that with a lease? Sometimes just having a business can occupy enough of your time, and figuring out where you’re going to operate it (especially in a world where real estate is growing exponentially more expensive) is a whole other battle that you don’t want to struggle through. With a licensed real estate agent and contractor in our network, we can navigate you through the process of finding lease space options, providing a rough cost breakdown for renovations, coordinating code reports and providing proposed plans to submit for permit for your fit-out.

Conventional things can be great - something that represents what is considered “tried and true,” or “strong and steady”… you get the point. However, the approach of Emerald House Studio is not that.

We want to be innovative with our process, original in our designs, and know when to push the envelope - especially the thermal kind. (!)

With EHS, clients can expect to work with someone who will express a genuine effort to understand the practical needs and function of a space, as well as an eye for design. We want to get personal with your project, solve problems, and deliver. It’s the role of an architect to hear what a client “thinks” they want and translate that into a deeper meaning.

Ok. So you want a disco ball in your living room. But why do you want a disco ball in your living room? If it’s to have a better entertaining space in your home, then we can show you several other ways to have a real party in your space!

In terms of physical deliverables, we’ll give you the conventional progress sets. But if you choose to work with us, don’t be surprised if some concepts call for a combination of sketching, inspiration boards, 3D renderings, or other forms of visual representation depending on how the design process unfolds.
